General Requirements
The requirement for graduation from Glendora High School for grades 9-12 shall consist of 220 semester units of credit. Courses taken in Community College or Adult Education must have prior approval of the school. All course work accepted towards graduation must be earned at an accredited educational institution.
A student shall have passed the California High School Exit Exam and earned 220 semester units of credit in order to receive a diploma of graduation.

Physical Education Requirements
Physical Education is required for all 9th graders. Two additional semesters are required in grades 10 - 12.
All students are required to pass the State Pysical Fitness Exam.
Physical Education Exceptions
P.E. Equivalency: Students (9 - 12) enrolled in Marching Band, Pageantry or Royal Stewarts will receive P.E. Equivalency credit for the fall and spring semesters. Students on the pep squad will receive P.E. Equivalency credit for the fall semester and third quarter.
Students with medical and IEP exemptions will not be responsible for earning P.E. credit for the semesters exempt.
Students participating in interscholastic sports will receive five units of P.E. credit for their sport for a maximum of ten credits per school year.

Granting A Diploma
Students are granted a diploma upon completion of Glendora High School graduation requirements and successful passage of the California High School Exit Exam.
It is important that seniors and parents understand that all requirements must be met before a student may participate in the graduation ceremony. Attendance at the graduation rehearsal is mandatory in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
Enrollment at GHS during the second semester of the senior year is required in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
A satisfactory citizenship record shall be maintained with faculty, student officers and administration in all senior class activities, including graduation ceremonies.
All school properties must be returned, and school bills must be paid prior to graduation day in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
Scores on GED tests or CHSPE will not be recognized for graduation.
